How to write a personal diary?

This activity has been created for working it with students in 11th grade and is going to require some previous knowledge as: simple present, present continuous, present perfect, simple past, past continuous and simple future, as well as recognize and understand the summary and essay structure.

The objectives of this activity are:

• That the students express their emotions and feeling about a specific situation or topic of his familiar or school environment, exposing their reasons in a clear and simple way.
• That the students narrate briefly actual facts, daily situations or their own experiences, in oral or writing form.
• That the student explain in oral or writing form the causes and effects, so as the problem and solution of a situation.
• That the student recognize the purpose of oral and written texts of medium length, related to topics of general interest and of his academic environment.

Writing an essay: Introduction paragraph

This activity has the objective to explain and understand the parts of an introductory paragraph that are the hook, topic sentence and thesis statement. In this way the student can learn the steps to take into account for their creation of the introductory paragraph.
